Our History
Phelan Racing has a long and proud history New Zealand Thoroughbred Racing.
Shaun's father, Craig Phelan set up his training facility in Rotorua before teaming up with his son Shaun Phelan (an accomplished leading Jumps Jockey) and training in partnership from their Cambridge base.
The partnership produced many racing successes both here in NZ and on Australian soil, providing thrills for both Phelan Racing team and the many owners. Shaun continues to train independently in Cambridge, carrying on the success.
